The job holder's responsibilities will be the following:
Participating in company's strategy definition for data center transformation and cloud initiatives
Leading presales engagement calls with customers to capture requirements, developing business cases, and designing specific IT solutions
Coordination of other technical resources as necessary to provide the appropriate solution with the optimal combination of hardware, software, and services to meet the prospect's needs
Development of bill of materials for complex hardware and software solutions and working with various vendor pricing programs to develop functional solutions at the most competitive price possible
Playing a key role in the development of the bid and proposal process, and presenting the solution to the prospect
Working with vendor partners to help drive business and support demand generation events
Maintaining account relationships over time to continue to deliver advice to the client and identify additional opportunities
Managing a sales pipeline and forecasts against regional goals
Required Competencies
Education
Degree in Computer Science or Eletrical Engineering
Knowledge / skills
At least 5 years work experience in similar position in the above mentioned fields
Experience in selling solutions into enterprise environments.
Vendor presales certifications for storage, server and virtualisation products is desirable
Commercial experience with virtualisation technologies; and ability to speak conceptually about the topic of cloud computing.
Consulting and solution implementation experience is a plus.
